Library

Mrs. Butler is excited to join the Claiborne High School family as the school librarian and is proud to be a Bulldog! She has six years of experience in education, all with Claiborne County Schools. Mrs. Butler began her teaching career as a fourth-grade teacher at TNT Primary School before transitioning to the library the following year.

Mrs. Butler earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and her M.Ed in School Librarianship and Technology from East Tennessee State University. She looks forward to creating a welcoming library where students can explore new ideas, discover great books, and develop the skills they need for success in both the classroom and in their careers.

Mission

The Claiborne High School Library empowers all students to become lifelong readers, critical thinkers, and ethical users of information. Through engaging print and digital resources, instruction in information literacy, and a welcoming, flexible learning environment, the library fosters curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and academic success while inspiring a lifelong joy of reading.

Vision

The Claiborne High School Library strives to be the heart of the school. A dynamic, inclusive space where every student has equitable access to diverse, high-quality resources and meaningful learning opportunities. We envision a community of confident readers and informed learners who can locate, evaluate, create, and ethically use information to solve problems, make informed decisions, and thrive in college, careers, and life.
